February and March (shoulder: November–December and April). February–March offer the best balance of mild temperatures (daytime highs 68–73°F), minimal rain, and a full calendar of signature events including the Palm Springs International Film Festival (January) and Modernism Week (mid-February). Spring wildflower blooms in the surrounding desert are an added attraction. Avoid June through September when daily highs average 99°F+ and outdoor activity becomes dangerous
